At Scott Tennis Academy, our mission is to develop well-rounded junior tennis players by combining world-class coaching with a focus on character, discipline, and long-term athletic growth. We are committed to creating a positive, age-appropriate environment where players of all skill levels are inspired to work hard, compete with integrity, and build confidence both on and off the court.
Led by Coach Nathan Scott, with over 30 years of coaching experience, we believe that every athlete deserves personalized attention, structured development, and the opportunity to reach their fullest potential—whether that means college tennis, tournament play, or a lifelong love of the game.
CORE VALUES
Respect yourself & others
Train Hard so you Play Hard
Have a Champion's Attitude
At Scott Tennis Academy, we envision a junior tennis program where athletes grow not only as players but as people. Our goal is to shape respectful competitors who honor themselves, their coaches, opponents, and the game. We believe that consistent, focused training lays the foundation for success, and that the true mark of a champion is not just in wins, but in mindset. By instilling a champion’s attitude—resilient, coachable, and confident—in every player, we prepare young athletes to thrive both in tennis and in life.
Whether your child is just beginning their tennis journey or aspiring to compete at the collegiate level, we offer tailored training through Private Coaching, Group Lessons, or a combination of both.
Private Lessons provide an in-depth focus on stroke mechanics and technique, along with tactical and strategic development through match simulations.
Group Lessons reinforce proper techniques while creating a fun, friendly, and competitive atmosphere. We offer four levels of Group Lessons—please reach out for more details!
As a USPTA Certified Coach with over 30+ combined years of experience in tennis coaching and development, our team has participated in a wide range of sectionals, sanctioned, and non-sanctioned tournaments (including USTA, Club, and Private). Our extensive backgrounds enable us to provide valuable insights for our players.
"I have honed tennis techniques and form while continually learning from some of the best in the industry, creating competitive tournament, high school & collegiate players.
Our goal is to foster a love for the beautiful game of tennis and develop athletic, well-rounded players who enjoy every training session."
—Coach Nate
Whether your focus is on fitness and fun or you’re pursuing private lessons with the aim of tournament or collegiate play, our tournaments and coaching sessions offer top-notch experiences for all our players.
Step 1
Book a Private Lesson with one of our qualified coaches - during this lesson we will conduct a 3 part assessment of the player while instructing them on strengths
Step 2
Continue private instruction and add group lessons
Step 3
Discuss tournament readiness, competition training and identify additional opportunities

Here are some additional considerations:
Does your player have solid footwork for their forehand and backhand, and understand how to volley?
If you answered yes to some but not all, we recommend starting with private lessons before transitioning to group lessons.
Is your player looking to excel in tournament play, transition from JV to Varsity, or potentially play at the collegiate level?
If yes, they will benefit from both private and group lessons, as well as participating in UTR leagues and tournaments.
Does your child want to learn the basics in a relaxed, group setting?
In that case, group lessons are likely the best fit. At STA, we incorporate our teaching methodology early on to help players find their level of success as quickly as possible.
We love providing a competitive and fun experience for our players during the tournament by grouping them by age and ability levels. If your player is ready for more, we have a place for them!
